Workshop Mainz DIGITAL 3D HERITAGE. Exploring 3D- Modelling in Education, Documentation and Dissemination 

The 1st CoVHer Workshop: DIGITAL 3D HERITAGE – Exploring 3D-Modelling in Education, Documentation, and Dissemination took place at the LUX Pavilion in Mainz.

As part of the event, the 3rd International Multiplier Event was held on September 9, 2023, alongside the “Wissenschaftsmarkt” exhibition, where student projects were showcased to the public.

This first CoVHer workshop brought together selected students from partner universities in Barcelona, Bologna, Porto, Warsaw, Mainz, and Lodz for an intensive week of collaboration. Participants worked in teams to develop projects, which they later presented to the public during the 3rd International Multiplier Event. The event also welcomed guest speakers from institutions with extensive experience in digital 3D reconstruction of lost architecture and digital cultural education.

Keynote speakers from Pictureworks Studio, TimeRide, and La Tempesta provided in-depth perspectives on the application of digital 3D reconstructions in serious games and cultural education.

Following the presentations, a discussion session, accompanied by a selection of local food and wine, allowed for further exchange of ideas and valuable input for the project.

Additionally, student projects were exhibited on the first floor of the LUX Pavilion at Hochschule Mainz, offering visitors a closer look at their work.
